My form of Visual Art has taken a number of years to perfect and is quite unique. All my works begin life as a photograph. From this point they take a journey of transformation to become what I term...

“Holgate Artistically Enhanced Photographic Images.”

The Process to produce my work is exact and time consuming, however I am satisfied the end result justifies the effort!

I do not consider a work complete until it is framed. With the exceptions of the Pet Portraits I produce, I build the frames that house my work.

The frames I build do not conform to the Standards of most commercial frames in that I believe the Work and the Frame should become one. The Frames I build are as unique as the Work they house! The above work measures 29" high by 48 wide".
